“A truly wonderful stay over the festive period. The new spa is lovely and room 452 was SO quiet and spacious, highly recommended. The only downside which I pointed out two years ago is that the shower lets the room down as it’s not powerful enough and looks dated too. A short taxi ride or lovely walk into the centre with everything you could wish for. Please note valet parking is £39.50 and the Soa £45 per person in addition to the room. “Great experience. The building is quaint, cozy, with a unique design and interior decoration. Beautiful dining area and bar. The room (ground floor), was spacious and with a lovely art deco interior. Very nice shower with good water pressure, nice choice of shower gels and other amenities. “Warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to correct any and all concerns Very cute rooms, warm and cozy, nicely decorated. Clean, modern bathrooms. Great neighborhood, easy walk to the city center, easy for Uber rides, and some phenomenal restaurants only steps away: Chinese noodle soups, coffee/bakeries, and the Rose and Crown tavern, which has the best meat pies, Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding ive had yet in England. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“The real problem is that the spa is not working and that’s the reason why I stayed in the hotel. I should have been notified same way I got a message about how busy is the restaurant and that needs to be booked beforehand. ”

“Lovely hotel, great location in the centre of town. Staff were happy to take our bags, when we arrived well ahead of check in, in fact all the staff whether in reception, breakfast or in the bar were polite and professional. Thought the rooms were excellent and very comfortable, huge comfy beds and spotless. Just enjoyed the layout of the hotel very relaxing with a nice atmosphere, overall an excellent stay and will definitely be back.”

“The room was very clean, the bed was really large and comfortable, the receptionist we met on arrival and departure was very kind, friendly and made us feel very welcome, also the domestic team were equally helpful and friendly. We were able to book a late checkout at no extra cost which made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay again when we visit York. ”
